Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler has already won the Golden Lion Award for Best Film in 2008, and it’s only going to pick up steam as Oscar season continues. In case you didn’t know, the film features Mickey Rourke as down-and-out professional wrestler Randy The Ram Robinson and Marissa Tomei plays the stripper that catches his eye.

This scene from Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" is pretty short, so it's hard to get a lot of real emotion on it, but the context around it illustrates how this is really indicative of the films tender and comedic tones. Mickey Rourke's character is really self-aware, charming and self-deprecating in his gentle wooing of Marisa Tomei's character and that balance is definitely hinted at here. We generally see movies twice anymore cause we generally don't have time to spare anymore, but we're going to make the time to see the film once more because we thought it was wonderfully modest, sparse ...
