The prestige-infused trailer for Doubt, starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Amy Adams, made its way online this week and it looks pretty damn good.
Meryl Streep looks scary intense (and Oscar-worthy?) in a Nurse Ratched-esque role, and the play that the film is based on, centering around a molestation accusation in a Catholic boarding school, won the Drama Desk, the Tony Award, and the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2005.

I guess it's pretty safe to say that we'll see this one at the Academy Awards. Based on John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, "Doubt" tells the poignant story of a nun who accuses a priest of abusing a young boy at a Catholic school. The film stars Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman. As you can see in the trailer just above, "Doubt" promises plenty of spectacular performances, notably by Meryl Streep, who seems to put on quite a terrifying show. The first trailer for Doubt is now online. The film stars Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman and centers on a nun who confronts a priest after suspecting him of abusing a student. John Patrick Shanley wrote and directed the film, which is based on his play. It opens in limited release on December 12. Interesting note, Shanley’s only other directing credit is the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan rom-com Joe Versus the Volcano.
