Japanese Streetfighter: Legend of Chun-Li Trailer Online
The Movie Blog —
The Japanese version of the Streetfighter: Legend of Chun-li trailer is online.
When I heard Kruek was going to play Chun-Li, I figured the look was right and shes a decent enough actress to play the part. And this trailer doesn’t look too bad (even if I dont understand most of what they are saying). The only complaint I have is that in a movie called the Legend of Chun-Li, we might actually see… I dont know… MORE CHUN-LI????
I actually have a lot of hope for this movie. It looks like a great approach to the Streetfighter movies. There is just FAR too many characters in this franchise to do a movie with all of ...
First 'Street Fighter' Trailer Now Online!
Cinematical —
The first trailer for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li is now online, and although it's the Japanese version (which would explain the non-English voiceover), it still looks like a half-decent fighting flick. And, I mean, c'mon -- what else are you looking for out of a film like Street Fighter? Are there lots of badass fights in the streets? According to this trailer, yes. Good. Done. Satisfied. Based on the popular video game (which you had to have played at some point in your life -- remember the one where you were feverishly tapping buttons, while your friends yelled "Dude, how did you do that roundhouse kick?" -- and you were all ...

Japanese Street Fighter Trailer Speaks The Universal Language of Ass-Kicking
Film School Rejects —
The first trailer for the upcoming actioner Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li might not speaka any English, but it certainly speaks to a part of me that loves fun kung fuey action. It also speaks to the part of me that weeps every time I think about how painful the last attempt at a Street Fighter movie was. As well, it speaks to that part of me that has a big thing for Kristin Kreuk. So Japanese or not, this trailer and I are communicating loud and clear. It is telling me that this film might actually turn out to be good. I am resisting though, as it is still too early to tell. Watch the trailer for yourself below. ...
Japanese Trailer for "Legend of Chun-Li" Online
Movies —
Finally, the first trailer for the new Street Fighter movie is online, though it's only the Japanese version. As promised, the film looks like it's maintaining a HK martial arts film vibe. Looking better than the Van Damme film already. Minor quibble, though... I know they're going for a more down-to-earth style, hence the ditching of the costumes from the games, but Neal McDonough's M. Bison isn't very recognizable as Bison (and what's up with the 'stache?). Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li stars Kristin Kreuk as the famous character looking to avenge her father's death at the hands of M. Bison's Shadoloo criminal organization. It stars Michael Clarke Duncan as ...
It’s The Japanese Street Fighter Trailer
TheBadandUgly.com —
You know what makes a trailer really classy? A “swoosh” sound while the trailer flashes to negative.
ome people editing trailers these days won’t do that. “What is it, 1998?” they’ll scoff. And they’ll try to hit you, but because of hours and hours editing, they are usually not int eh best physical shape. Some have adapted to throwing things at you, usually empty Red Bull cans and old copies of Filmmaker Magazine. Once, we had about three used dispoable razors thrown at us for suggesting they maybe start with something different than “In a ...
Weak Trailer for 'Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li'
Get The Big Picture —
About a month ago, the first production photos for
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li were leaked online. I thought they were OK, but I had just seen some shots from Dragonball, and frankly, of the geekboy fascinations, I'd give the edge to Chun Li.
Now a new trailer has popped up on You Tube (thanks
Cinematical), and those of you who commented about how lame Chun Li looked certainly have more ammunition. I mean, wow, this thing is bad. The worst part of it is it doesn't look like anyone in the cast is doing their own jumping ...

Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li Trailer. Clip of the Day
SpoutBlog —
There really is no demand for a sequel to Street Fighter, the video game-to-film adaptation that had the sad distinction of being Raul Julia’s final film. And while the franchise is alive and well through parody (College Humor’s Street Fighter: The Later Years) and a fourth–technically 15th–videogame spin-off, one must stop and wonder: who the hell cares?
Now we have Kristin Kreuk, best known for being a damsel on Smallville, emerging for her first feature film lead role as Chun-Li! (You know, the one who does the kicks and turns herself upside down while spinning like a helicopter? No? Fine, ...
Japanese Trailer For Street Fighter
Cinema Blend News —
Japanese Trailer For Street Fighter Maybe it's because the narration is entirely in Japanese, or maybe it's because Chun Li just isn't all that inspiring a character. But the Japanese trailer for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li , which hit the web over at Coming Soon ...
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li Japanese Trailer
Film Junk —
I have to admit, I really don’t have much to say about Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. It’s another video game movie, and one based on a fighting game at that. It may have been written by brilliant young scribe Justin Marks, but it’s also being directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (Doom). I am assuming it will turn out better than the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme flick, but that’s if that’s the only goal for this movie, then they’re setting the bar pretty damn low.
A Japanese trailer for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li found its way online this week, and although it’s not overly ...
