Now much of this presumes compatibility of technology, and offers up a nice humourous exchange between the two franchises, so I like it. Of course being a Star Wars Fanboy, I was routing for the Empire but for the sake of the fan who assembled this video I enjoyed even the Star Trek elements of it. There is a nice clever nod to both films after the “credits” so make sure you sit the whole thing out.
So the oldest geekbattle rages on. Who would win, Star Trek or Star Wars!

I know, I know, you “saw this on /Film yesterday.” So what, get over it people. I like funny videos, too and I intend to post them as part of our daily diversion. That, and this video is just that silly that I couldn’t resist. Furthermore, who doesn’t love a little Star Trek vs. Star Wars, right? Personally I’ve always felt more comfortable on the Star Wars side of the fence, as fiction with base in more concrete science has always scared the begeesus out of me. I prefer my classic sci-fi with Wookies (to which I can relate) and Death Stars.

I'm a sucker for these fan-made dream battles spliced together using various film footage. Remember the Terminator/Robocop/Predator battle royale from a year or so ago? Pretty bad ass, even if the geek in me was stunned that Robocop took down a T-800. Gah! What a dorky statement. So it's no surprise that when I saw this comical match-up pitting the Galactic Empire against the USS Enterprise, I had to give it props on JPP. I'm a sucker, after all.
