Disney Channel is airing this new sneak peek at Pixar's Up , opening in theaters on May 29. The clip features director Pete Docter talking about the film's characters, Carl Fredricksen and Russell, plus some new footage.
Up is a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell.

A sneak peek video for Pixar’s Up has surfaced, featuring new footage and a look at the main characters, Carl Fredricksen, voiced by Edward Asner, and Russell, voiced by Jordan Nagai. The animated adventure flick also features the voices of Christopher Plummer, Delroy Lindo and John Ratzenberger. It hits theaters in Disney Digital 3-D on May 29, 2009.

The Golden Globes get it just about right, but when will we all get to see these?

A hearty congrats at the start to who I would have to say was the real surprise winner at last night's Golden Globes, "In Bruges" star Colin Farrell. I would have cast my vote in the Best Actor/Comedy or Musical category for his co-star Brendan Gleeson, but it's still a well-deserved win for a smart role in Martin McDonagh's wickedly funny little flick. The overall movie winner at the 66th awards show, however, was Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire," and a hearty huzzah to that as well. If that sets him up for a Best Picture (and hopefully that means best director, too, as it did at the Globes) victory, I'd be happy with that, since he made ...
