New 'Coraline' Trailer Hits the Net
Cinematical —
Thank you, Henry Selick. I now feel like one of the wimpiest women on Earth. An awesome, new, full-length trailer for Coraline has popped up online. You can see it above, or head over to Yahoo to see it crisp, bigger, and HD (which is so totally worth it). Anyway, why do I feel so wimpy? After starting out just like an episode of Pushing Daisies, the trailer shows the cute blue-headed girl named Coraline walking into a bathroom, getting annoyed by a frickin' colony of millipede-like things (large silverfish, seamonkeys?!) and ... crushes them with her ...

Film Junk —
It’s been a while since there has been an animated film that I’ve been really looking forward to, but a stop motion movie directed by Henry Selick (James and the Giant Peach, The Nightmare Before Christmas) and based on a book by Neil Gaiman is definitely something worth getting excited about. I liked all the early footage that I saw from the upcoming movie Coraline, but nothing could prepare me for this new theatrical trailer, which has just gone online over at Yahoo!. It looks absolutely fantastic!
I guess it’s hard to avoid getting a bit of a Tim Burton vibe from some of it, but ...

Over the weekend I received a mysterious package from Portland Oregon. Turns out it was from the animators and puppeteers behind the upcoming film Coraline , the first stop-animated film shot in 3D.

I Watch Stuff - The Best Movie News Ever
Maybe I'm just a sucker for dark but quirky, masterfully-executed stop-motion animation, but I'm thinking this new trailer for Henry Selick's Coraline adaptation makes it look really good. Perhaps not quite as visually-arrested as The Nightmare Before Christmas , which I still watch ...
