Ooops, we already posted a bunch of acceptance speeches from last night's 66th Annual Golden Globes, but one that we forgot and also loved, was Colin Farrell's acceptance for Best Actor in the Comedy section for "In Bruges." It was a great, humble and self-deprecating speech (check the self-flagellating drug dig) and his excellent performance in Martin McDonagh's film (which artfully balanced vulnerability and comedy) as a suicidal hitman proved that he's returned to be taken seriously as an actor and not just a tabloid dunderhead. Anyhow, this speech was great and it's a nice welcome back for him. ...

Generally the Golden Globes (2008) ceremony was good. It was the best in recent memory and I did enjoy it as much as I missed it because of last year's absence. So here are my reactions... The Good Of all the winners, I was very much pleased when HFPA decided to award Sally Hawkins (Happy-Go-Lucky) and Colin Farrell (In Bruges).
