Variety reports that Universal has changed the release dates of its hopefully high-profile films The Wolfman and Nottingham.
In the case of The Wolfman, things aren’t so bad–the film is being shifted from April 3rd to November 6th. This is ostensibly to give it a more prestigious opening, as well as more time in post-production, always a good thing for a film as CGI heavy as this one. Universal Pictures has decided to shuffle next year’s movie slate. The Wolfman is being pushed back from April 3rd to November 6 2009, and Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious will be moving from it’s June 12th release to The Wolfman’s former April date. They have also moved Ridley Scott’s Nottingham back to a 2010 TBA slot, which was expected since the film isn’t set to go into production until February 2009 at earliest.

But , in this instance, multiple high-profile titles...all of which have been covered extensively here on the site...have shifted release dates & we thought you might wanna know. Universal Pictures has pushed back the release of horror franchise hopeful "The Wolfman" from April 3 to Nov. 6 and taken Ridley Scott's "Nottingham" out of 2009 entirely. Also, U's "The Fast and the Furious 4" will now open on April 3, instead of June 12. "Nottingham," toplining Russell Crowe, will open in 2010, but U did not set a specific date. ...says ...

... that Wolfman , the Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins adaptation of the horror classic, was being pushed to a fall release date, instead of debuting April 3 as planned. Now Variety has made the news official, reporting that Wolfman will come out November 6 of next year. Universal did some other shuffling as well, pushing Ridley Scott's Nottingham project to 2010 and sending Fast and Furious to April 3, instead of June 12.
