MAN ON WIRE Wins the Producers Guild Award
All these wonderful things — Saturday night, concurrent with awards being handed out in Park City for the best of the 2009 crop, the Producers Guild was naming its winners in a ceremony in Hollywood.  The group, which added a documentary award last year (making the Cinematographers the only major guild not to bestow an award for nonfiction), gave their prize to Simon Chinn for MAN ON WIRE . Chinn is also nominated, with director James Marsh, for an Oscar for MOW, and is up for two Cinema Eye Honors - Outstanding Achievement in Production and Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking.
