... cut of "Watchmen" will see a one-week theatrical release in July as per planned. Then again, the release is nicely timed, one week before Comic-Con when nerd herd fervor hits its summer peak. There's 25 minutes of additional footage which means a new running time of 3 hours and 13 minutes that will be screened in Los Angeles, Dallas, Minneapolis, and New York, prior to Comic-Con. ... of Zack Snyder’s Watchmen: Director’s Cut last month, I noted that it didn’t look like the movie would be getting a re-release in theatres after all. Apparently I spoke too soon, because The Hollywood Reporter tells us that it will still be getting a limited theatrical rollout — limited being the key word. The movie will return to theatres with 25 added minutes for one week only, and playing in just 4 U.S. cities (Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis and Dallas) starting on Friday, July 17th. ...
