There is a slight chance we will be seeing a whole lot of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" films in the near future. The reason: Twisted Pictures is close to take over the franchise and start with a new "Texas" flick.
Twisted Pictures, of course, handles the "Saw" films with Lionsgate, and the production house is close to release the sixth installment already with "Saw VI," due in theaters Oct. 23, 2009.
Variety says Twisted will be developing a 3D "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" flick, with Stephen Susco ("The Grudge") on board to write the script. My guess is we'll be seeing a lot more if it succeeds ...
