Dan Aykroyd doing the voice of Yogi Bear. Justin Timberlake doing the voice of Boo-Boo. I know: Sounds like a Saturday Night Live skit. But seriously, folks: The movie version of the cartoon is about to start shooting. ...
Dan Aykroyd voicing Yogi Bear?
Total Film News —
Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake and Anna Faris have all signed on to roles in Warners' new live-action/CG take on Yogi Bear. It's true- no matter how much we all try to avoid the fact that this film is on the way, it somehow finds a way to remind us. And this time, it's through the casting the voices for the leads, with Aykroyd signed on as Yogi and Timberlake playing sidekick Boo Boo. Faris, meanwhile, will play a documentary filmmaker who meets up with our heroes. Journey To The Centre Of The Earth director Eric Brevig is gearing up to shoot the thing in New Zealand next month… ...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This is probably the oddest piece of news to hit this week... Apparently next month production begins on a live action/CG animation hybrid adaptation of Yogi Bear directed by JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH helmer Eric Brevig. Variety has a story on this film indicating a cast is shaping up with Dan Aykroyd in talks to voice Yogi Bear, Justin Timberlake in talks to voice Boo-Boo and Anna Faris in talks to play a live-action documentary filmmaker I assume doing a feature in and around Jellystone. Uh... so, yeah. Who thinks this is a good idea again? I love Dan Aykroyd, but this is even more depressing than Bill ...
'Yogi Bear' Will Cry Me A River With Its Cast
Cinematical —
Yogi Bear and Boo Boo are bringing sexy back -- and that image should make you ripe for nightmares tonight. If you doubt me, look to Variety, who reports that Dan Aykroyd, Anna Faris, and Justin Timberlake are set to go to Jellystone in Yogi Bear, which Eric Brevig is directing for Warner Bros.
Aykroyd will be voicing Yogi, and he really is the most obvious choice to play the picnic basket thief. He's funny, he sounds gruff, and if it was live-action it would be a very terrifying thing to see. So thank goodness this is being done as a CG / live-action hybrid.
Timberlake will be ...
Justin Timberlake, Anna Faris and Dan Aykroyd to Demean Themselves With CGI 'Yogi Bear'
:: The Playlist :: —
[image] Is this a thing now? In a week where we've already seen Owen Wilson taking on " Marmaduke " and Shawn Levy developing " The Bearenstein Bears ," yet another CGI talking animal picture is on the way, in the form of Hanna- Barbera's beloved " Yogi Bear " Eric Brevig , who was behind last year's surprisingly successful Brendan Fraser vehicle " Journey to the Centre of the Earth 3-D ," is directing, from a script by Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia , whose previous credits are " Surviving Christmas " and next year's " The Tooth Fairy ." Which basically tells you everything you need to know. Dan Aykroyd will ...
Actors grab a pic-a-nic basket for Yogi

Warner Bros Pictures is making sure that the live action/CGI-animated hybrid films are not dead as they cast Anna Faris, Dan Akroyd and Justin Timberlake on “Yogi Bear”. Faris is in negotiations to portray a documentary filmmaker in “Yogi.” Aykroyd is in negotiations to voice Yogi and Timberlake’s in talks to voice Boo-Boo, Yogi’s sidekick (Variety).
The film is being directed by “Journey to the Center of the Earth” helmer Eric Brevig. The script is penned by scribes Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin who both co-wrote the Twentieth Century Fox film “Tooth Fairy”. Initial filming ...
"Yogi Bear" movie with Timberlake, Faris and Aykroyd
New Haven Movie Examiner —
The Hanna-Barbera children's cartoon "Yogi Bear" is being made into a live-action CGI animated motion picture (similar to the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie). According to "Variety," Dan Aykroyd is in negotiations to take on the voice of Yogi and Justin Timberlake may play Boo-Boo. Anna Faris ("The House Bunny") is in negotiations to play a 'documentary filmmaker." If you're too young to remember Yogi Bear, he started out as a side-character in "The Huckleberry Hound Show." In 1961, Yogi Bear got his own spin-off show, which was sponsored by Kelloggs. Yogi Bear's voice and mannerisms are said to have been inspired by the character Ed Norton on ...
‘Yogi’ Cast Taking Shape
At The Movies - Film News and Reviews —
A year ago, a film version of Yogi Bear was announced. The film is set to be a mixture of CGI and live-action in the same style as Garfield and Alvin and The Chipmunks. Except it will hopefully be better than either of those two movie adaptations.
According to Variety, the cast is beginning ...
