... Y'all know what time of year it is right? That's right - the end. It is the end of the year. And that has come to mean one thing. No, not me passed out in the gutter with drool on my shoes. Okay, so two things, it's come to mean two things. Me passed out in the gutter with drool on my shoes AND JD's Endings Blog-a-thon ...
Movie Endings

This post is a contribution to the Endings-Blogathon hosted at Valley Dreamin'. What makes a great ending? I don't know if I can put it into words. Or if anyone can. We just know when an ending is perfect. Whether it leaves us with a gasp or a smile or a devastated feeling of being punched in the gut, films can achieve a cathartic transformation when they end on just that right note. My favorite ending and a very worthy entry into this blogathon has to be the final scene in Nick Gomez's 1992 indie drama "Laws of Gravity"... which I wrote about here earlier ...

In participation with J.D.’s Endings Blogathon, I thought I would write about two films that I’ve seen on TV over the festive period, and in particular, their endings. Whee! Might as well spend my holiday somehow, and my brains are getting a little bit stir-fried from all the movie-watching. So here goes. Ten Thirteen (!) more final shots from ten thirteen (!) more of my favorite flicks. You tell me what they're from in the comments. I went a smidgen ...

Note: this is my tardy contribution to the Endings Blog-a-thon J.D. is hosting at Valley Dreamin'. I think I might be disqualified. See, it's called The Endings Blog-a-thon, but I've long wanted to give credit (and love) to something I see every so often in a film that doesn't get much credit (or love). And see, it's not so much an ending to a film, or even a particular style of ending; well, it sort of is, but see - it's after the ending. I tried to even do a Google search as part of my research for this post (so that I could look ...
