Check Out Cameron Diaz's Box. It's Black And Has Red Running Down It.
Latino Review —
... another couple and given to them and Cameron or her husband will die when the button is pressed by the second couple. Not really revealing anything since this is a big screen version of The Twilight Zone episode, "Button, Button." that was based off of a short story originally printed in Playboy. See why you should read Playboy? Anyway, here's Cameron Diaz's box I promised you'd see. All black and bloody as expected. Click her box to check out Richard Kelly's MySpace blog. Here's the poster for Kelly's 'The Box'
The Screening Log —
Richard Kelly just posted a one-sheet for his upcoming thriller "The Box" at MySpace, and you can check it out after the jump. While I'm excited about the movie (I'm a Kelly fan, and YES, I loved "Southland Tales"), I can't say I'm loving this poster all too much.
Norma and Arthur Lewis (Cameron Diaz and James Marsden), a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I read an early draft of the script to Richard Kelly's THE BOX a looooonnnggg time ago and found it to be pretty damn good. Dark, dark stuff there and then the movie cast up, shot and posted all on the quiet. Soon we'll start seeing more promotional stuff from it, leading up to the release in October. Now the poster has hit, which Kelly has posted to his MySpace page . It's a fine studio poster, definitely gets the point across without giving anything away, but at the end of the day it's still a big head poster. What do you folks think? [image]
‘The Box’…The Motion Picture…The Poster
We Are Movie Geeks —
This new poster for Richard Kelly’s ‘The Box’ just isn’t doing it for me. It’s like Cameron Diaz got recast in Oliver Stone’s ‘Alexander’. Either that or the studio had the poster set without the red streak, and one of the execs had their kid in for bring-your-kid-to-work day. That little basterd (forever to be spelled that way) just had to play with the red paint near the new marketing items.
I can just hear it now.
Exec: “No, Timmy, that’s daddy’s work…Wait. You know that ain’t half bad?”
Now Timmy’s a marketing rep for Warner. Now Timmy’s a ...

Today in Posters: New Wild Things, a Wolverine, and Cameron Diaz in a Box
Cinematical —
I love a good movie poster. I've collected them, often paid way too much for them, and even once managed to snag one of those subway ads for Interview with a Vampire (don't ask). II know a lot of you out there couldn't care less about a new poster (it's just advertising< right?), but I also know there are plenty of you out there who are just like me, and can be found slowly meandering along a row of coming soon posters at your local theater, mouth open, day-dreaming .... mmmm. But anyway, let's start with the very good and work our way down to "the other stuff." Where the Wild Things Are: Damn if this new ...
