Manhattan Is Enchanted Again Though the book Enchanted, Inc. was published in 2005, it's going to have a hard time avoiding comparisons to the 2007 movie now that it's being turned into a film. It doesn't help that it's set in New York and involves magic. Screenwriter Steven Rogers will adapt Shanna Swendson's novel "Enchanted, Inc." for Strike Entertainment, according to Variety.
The plot follows a small-town woman who comes to New York and discovers magic is and has been a common thing in the Big Apple for centuries. Because she has absolutely no magic inside her, she possesses the ability to see through any spell.
Rogers is the guy who also wrote "Stepmom," the decent romantic comedy "Kate & Leopold," and the disastrous "P.S. I Love You."
