... Do you see that ass in the poster above? Do you want to know why the poster is of a girl showing off her ass? BECAUSE THIS MOVIE IS ASS. And yes. I've already seen it. So only go if you want to catch that Cloverfield chick in her underwear for about 25 seconds. [image] January 16th My Bloody Valentine 3D [image] Now this movie actually looks like it may be fun. Even though it's a remake, it could be a good time with the 3-D effect combined with the whole slasher thing. Let's just hope for some gruesome over the top death scenes that will make you want to puke in your popcorn. ...

The New York Times wrote today about the mid-January release: If “My Bloody Valentine 3D” is a success — and with a modest budget of about $20 million, success is easily within reach — the next big thing in horror could be at hand, said Joe Drake, the co-chief operating officer of Lionsgate and the president of the studio's motion picture group. “We see 3-D horror as financially lucrative and creatively exciting,” he said. “We want to ...

... of a new low-budget 3-D horror film, My Bloody Valentine, which will check in with a relatively modest $20 million budget. If it’s a decent horror film, it shoul make that budget back without much difficulty, and while Kirsner cites Cameron’s concern that 3-D could fall back into the exploitation and schlock “ghetto” it occupied in the 1950s, I actually think it’s exciting to see a variety of potential uses for 3-D. I’ll admit that I’m not that interested in the horror genre, but I’d likely make an exception for a 3-D ...

... on the images, my vision occasionally blurring. At the end of the day, 3D simply isn’t enough of a reason to see a movie (though it did sell me this time). My Bloody Valentine is forgettable but was a fun experience (largely due to the particularly vocal crowd). As it stands now, I’m really looking forward to Dreamworks’ presentation of Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. Hopefully that will be an even better experience. My Bloody Valentine 3D Release: 01.16.09 Rated R 1 hour, 41 minutes Matinee ($$$) I can't believe I'm admitting this, but this flick is the first 2009 release I saw in theaters...and I paid for it! Usually, my first three or four films of the year are all from free passes, but this year I broke tradition and shilled out for a matinee.. and sprung the extra $2.50 for the RealD glasses. The box-office attendant said the charge was not for the glasses but a "technology surcharge." More on that in a moment. ...
