If the thought of Sylvester Stallone directing a buddy war flick called THE EXPENDABLES with Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren confirmed (and Forest Whitaker and Ben Kingsley circling) wasn't enough, how about if we add in some Mickey Rourke ? Looks like Rourke is following up The Wrestler (which will certainly get him a nom and is my personal pick for best actor of the year) with a role as an arms dealer, the go-to guy for the team. I'll have to beg Vern to tell me more about the script, but I hope we get to see Rourke in action as he'd more than hold his own with that group. Sounds like a helluva cast ...

Wow, Sylvester Stallone is lining up quite the cast for his upcoming action flick "The Expendables."
Yesterday we learned Forest Whitaker is in talks to join the project, and just recently, Variety reported Mickey Rourke has signed on to join Jason Statham, Sly, Jet Li and Randy Couture.
Written by Stallone, the movie follows a group of mercenaries who infiltrate a South American country to overthrow its dictator and free the population.
