Daniel Craig, Jamie Bell, and Tintin Discover the Secret of the Unicorn
Film School Rejects —
I have no idea what the Secret of the Unicorn is. If I did, it would probably be known as the Well-Known Fact of the Unicorn because I’m usually the last one to know about mythical equestrian trivia. However, I do know who Steven Spielberg is.
We’ve had a ton of news on the Tintin project, and today we can report via ComingSoon that production on The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn has started with Jamie Bell as Tintin - the famous reporter - and Daniel Craig in a lead role as Red Rackham - a pirate who attacks a ship called, you guessed it, The Unicorn. A ship ...
Jamie Bell Is Tintin, Daniel Craig The Villain
Cinema Blend News —
Jamie Bell Is Tintin, Daniel Craig The Villain When I interviewed Andy Serkis last week and he mentioned that he would be filming Tintin starting pretty much right now, he couldn't tell me what the movie was called or even who was playing the main character. Shortcuts: 'Batman 3' Slated For 2011? Spieberg's 'Tintin' Gets Terribly Fey Title; Cast, Mickey Rourke To Appear At Wrestlemania
:: The Playlist :: —
Batman producer Michael Uslan says 2011 will be the release year for the sequel to "The Dark Knight." Now all they need is an idea, a script, some actors to play the villains and the if/when consent of director Christopher Nolan. If Nolan somehow decides to do something else, WB will surely go on without him, the franchise is too big a franchise not to, but if they do, let's hope they keep on the original cast (who we believe are locked in by contract anyhow), and don't fuck it up like the previous franchise. ...

Newsbites: The reimagined stories edition!
FilmChat —
1. Francis Lawrence seems to have a thing for modernized Bible stories. After directing the pilot episode for Kings, the upcoming TV series based on the story of Saul and David, he is now attached to direct Samson, "a futuristic retelling of the Samson and Delilah story." I don't know what the word "futuristic" is supposed to mean in this context, but this movie may be part of a larger trend; only three months ago, it was announced that Brad Pitt would star in a "futuristic" version of The Odyssey set in outer space. At any rate, the Samson script will be written by Scott Silver, whose ...

I Watch Stuff - The Best Movie News Ever —

My Jamie Bell is In a New Steven Spielberg Movie
Stale Popcorn —
What part of that blog entry title do you think gets me more antsy with anticipation? That Jamie Bell is in a movie or that Steven Spielberg is? Hmmm. One look at the blog and you should know your answer. It's fitting that while I had indeed heard the news (I just hadn't had the chance to post about it) I received blog comments, emails and SMS text messages telling me about it. Nice to know I'm so predictable. ...
