News of Wolverine reshoots the other day set off a firestorm of speculation about whether they meant good or bad news for the new Fox comic book film. Things got so intense that Hugh Jackman himself fired off an e-mail to quell the Fox-hating battle tide. In a fit of fanboy excitement, IESB.net informs us that one of the chief (if not the) reasons why 20th Century Fox's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" has gone into reshoot mode is so that they can beef up a character that was at one time relegated to "cameo status" alongside will.i.am. And that character is Deadpool, as portrayed by Ryan Reynolds (him?) Previous excuses reasons for the reshoots were told to be of the weather and location variety. A reader over at IESB.net has apparently given them a juicy little bit of rumor news to chew on and it’s juicy enough for me to pass on. We’ve already mentioned the re-shoots in progress for ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ but now it seems a potentially positive bonus MAY come of it in the form of added scenes with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

It seems to me that you can probably trust Hugh Jackman -- when he told AICN that the reshoots were centered on other actors, he was right ... although you could argue that beefing up characters and adding scenes is pretty extensive stuff after all. IESB.net reports that the X-Men Origin: Wolverine reshoots revolve around Deadpool, and that Ryan Reynolds was up in Vancouver shooting additional scenes between Deadpool and Wolverine. Details are scarce, so that's easily something that can fit under Jackman's explanation of "schedule conflicts and weather problems," it could mean that they liked Reynolds' ...

Now see, this title is very clever for two big reasons. “Deadpool” has the word pool in it, and you wade into those. Also, the character of Deadpool, his real name is Wade. Could I be any more clever? It is not clever in the fact that I guess technically, Deadpool would be wading further into Wolverine, but that just sounds… Icky.
