TheHype The Dark Knight is snuffed...! Pfft..
And I'm calling it: Hugh Laurie to win for House again. It's soo because he's a Brit... but a damn fine amazing Brit actor.

... the film itself for Best Picture Comedy/Musical. In-fucking-deed. I salute you, Hollywood Foreign Press. I don't imagine that the Oscars will have the balls to nominate any of it, but maybe this will cement a nomination at the very least for Martin McDonagh's fantastic script. I'm disappointed that Ralph Fiennes didn't get in for Supporting, but these two acting noms (inevitably canceling each other out, naturally) alone are the sort of thing to start a morning right. Check out the rest of the nominations here, or read Nat's eventual take over here. ...

... The nominations for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, the precursor to the Oscars, have been announced today. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees this morning live from The Beverly Hilton. This year there are three films with five nominations: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Doubt, and Frost/Nixon. Considering those films already had quite a bit of awards buzz heading into the holiday season, this isn't too big of a surprise. What is a surprise, however, is that In Bruges earned three ...
2008 Golden Globe Nominations (films only)
Movie Moxie —
It has arrived! The 2008 Golden Globe Nominations for year ending Dec 31, 2008 has landed. It feels like every day there is a new 2008 film list be it a top ten, nominations or winners but for me The Globes hit them home. It feels like the strongest precursor to the Oscars and this list I treat as a shopping list of films to see through and after the holidays.
