I do have a problem with them showing the kill count on screen. Yes, we know that the kids are going to die, but isn’t the point of a slasher movie to enjoy the insane deaths? Why give most, if not all, of them away for free in the trailer? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Beaks here... Hard to say that this just-released trailer for Marcus Nispel's FRIDAY THE 13TH remake doesn't deliver the goods. There are some nice nods to the original series in there: the death countdown makes a welcome return, and that very last shot makes me happy. Don't know what's going on with that lawnmower, and I can't wait to find out. So head on over to Yahoo! Movies and pass judgment. Is this what you want from a FRIDAY THE 13TH movie? Or are you still pissed that Tom Stoppard passed on the rewrite? Voorhees returns on February 13th, 2009. That's a Friday.

... chick, is going to die. I guess one of the only things that bugs me about this film is that the first franchise never hit the 13 number, as in 13 films. For some reason I think it would be pretty cool to have one horror franchise with a collection of that many good films. The Saw franchise gave up on making intense and scary films and decided gore was best, maybe this will be the start of something interesting. We'll see.

... of ‘Friday the 13th’. I’m done with the whole “re-imagining” crap. It’s a remake, okay? Deal with it.
It’s a decent poster. Nothing incredible but atsmospheric enough. I’m really curious to see what Marcus Nispel has to offer the franchise. He directed the remake of ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, and that was one of the best in the long line of recent horror remakes.
