The Los Angeles Times has debuted yet another new poster from Watchmen , this time featuring The Comedian played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan as he takes a break from mowing down Vietnamese with a blowtorch to light a cigar to "celebrate" the moment. The interesting thing about the image is that without my explanation behind the scene being pictured it looks like just another bad ass doing something bad ass. Warner Bros has released two new Watchmen posters on LATimes and MTV. The poster on the left shows Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Blake (aka The Comedian) leading the battle during the war. The poster to the right shows Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre II, protecting the streets of New York City. More Wathcmen photos are expected tomorrow, so check back.

In the case of Watchmen however we start hitting some trouble once we get into a close-up of the characters. Maybe with time I’ll get used to them, but right now the transition from drawing to live action isn’t quite convincing me. especially in the case of Ozymandias, who looks too young and quite silly. Which could be a big problem.
Maybe I’ll like them better after a while. We’ll see.
