The good folks at ShockTillYouDrop nabbed an exclusive red band trailer, seemingly straight from writer Diablo Cody, producer Jason Reitman and director Karyn Kusama, which is their answer to the typical horror preview the studio cut (coming out on Bruno this weekend). That said, it feels like a regular internet only trailer with one f-bomb and some suggested nudity. I can say the flick looks sharp. ... hadn’t ‘earned’ it by toiling away in Hollywood obscurity for years, but I’m of the opinion that if you’ve got talent then that should be rewarded, and I think her style might suit the horror-comedy genre to a tee. The main obstacle here, in my opinion, is that there has been a recent surge of this kind of movie, kicked off by ‘Shaun of the Dead’, and it’s possible that this film may be lost in the crowd.
