You may not immediately jump to this same conclusion, but I think there’s finally some good news to share about Joe Johnston’s The Wolfman. Having said that, this is a film I’ve been feeling really quite down on since original director Mark Romanek left the project and, to be honest, I don’t think anything we could end up with now will be even a mere shade of what Romanek could have realised.

Of all the big films on the docket for next year, the one I’m most concerned about is The Wolfman. The second trailer for the film looked pretty badass, I’ll admit – but this movie has suffered a plagued production from the get-go. Peter Jackson tells Reuters that he recut his film adaptation of the Alice Sebold bestseller after a test screening.
Why he recut it though is a reason you rarely here - the audience "wanted far more violence". The director told the news services that the test groups weren't satisfied with the death of a character, and he re-edited the film to "basically add more violence and suffering" but still keep things in the PG-13 rating.
