... will be your new champeen, unless this weekend's estimates
are being counted by the Iranian Election Commission. The Sandra Bullock-Ryan Reynolds comedy debuted with
$12.4 million, according to Box Office Mojo, which means Bullock will enjoy her first ever $20 million
opening weekend. Because this is new territory for her, it's hard to know exactly what the $12 million
means, but romcoms rarely spike on Friday and fall off immediately (which I think will happen with ...
Box Office Buzz: Up Keeps On Pullin' Through the Jungle (Of New Releases)
Upcoming Pixar —
As you can see, I’m running out of clever Up-themed titles for the box office posts…
Anyhow, this weekend is starting off well. Even though Up ranked at #4 (behind The Proposal, Year One and The Hangover in that order) this Friday it still raked in an estimated $6,100,000! That’s an impressive number for Pixar’s fourth weekend because it’s right on track with what Finding Nemo brought in on the same day of release. It’s of note that Nemo was released on May 30th, 2003.
Let’s recap this past week’s many big ...

The Proposal will be about twice as big an opening as any Sandra Bullock movie ever. It's funny to me, since I feel like it's another success for WB, since it smells of that studio's product. But it's not. Disney... where they seem to be on a mission to get into the chick flick business... ...

Blu-ray Review: Friday the 13th (Killer Cut) —
RopeofSilicon.com
Considering it was made for only $19 million and took home over $65 million at the domestic box-office, New Line's remake of Friday the 13th is definitely a financial success, but in terms of quality we have a different story. I gave the film a "C" when I reviewed it theatrically and I guess I ...
