Barry Sonnenfeld knows how to save 'World'
The Screening Log — Barry Sonnenfeld has signed on to direct "The How-To Guide for Saving the World," an action comedy written by BenDavid Grabinski. According to Variety, the film follows a man and a woman who find a special guide to save the world and must use it to prevent an imminent alien attack that could destroy the entire planet. Sonnenfeld's last big-screen effort was 2006's disappointing comedy "RV." His credits also include "Get Shorty," "The Addams Family" and the two "Men in Black" films. Recently, Sonnenfeld directed several episodes for "Pushing Daisies" and "Notes from the Underbelly."
