Cohen wrote Tropic Thunder, which makes him the obvious choice to fix up a rom-com about marriage issues (just kidding, Etan!).
Hathaway will star as a bride-to-be who breaks up with her seemingly ideal fiance in order to find herself. However, her parents keep trying to get them back together, making it difficult for her to move on. ...

[image] Clearly, Anne Hathaway has some sort of newfound fetish for weddings. Hot on the heels of her acclaimed performance in “Rachel Getting Married” and the trailer premiere of “Bride Wars ,” Variety alerts us to her latest role in a romantic comedy no less, where she plays a would-be-bride who cancels her wedding so that she can ‘find herself.’ Sounds pretty similar to “The Opposite of Love,” which Hathaway was reported to be starring in. However, “The Fiance” sounds like far lighter fare than “Opposite” and the involvement of Etan Coen who wrote the script for “Tropic Thunder” is certainly enough to think Hathaway’s decision to be in the film is ...

If I were Anne Hathaway, I’d think I would do everything in my power to stop giving people excuses to bring up my painful breakup and jailbird ex-boyfriend, but hey, sometimes a girl needs money for, um, bail. Which means it’s back to the comforts (and high pay rate) of cookie-cutter romantic comedies for ...

On the heels of Rachel Getting Married and Bride Wars, Anne Hathaway is adding another wedding-centric production. Variety reports that she's just signed on for a new rom-com called The Fiance. Instead of being stringently tight-arsed about a wedding date with Kate Hudson, she will star as a woman who cancels her wedding and breaks off her engagement to try and find herself. But since her ex-beau is the seemingly "perfect fiance," her parents try to get them back together, which ...
