81st Annual Academy Awards Nominations

Notable absences has to be lack of nominations for The Wrestler and The Dark Knight in any of the major categories outside of the acting and technical fields respectively. Benicio Del Toro for Che and Clint Eastwood for Gran Torino are also notable absences in the Best Actor field. Bruce Springsteen's song The Wrestler and Clint Eastwood and Jamie Cullum's song Gran Torino not being nominated for best song has to be a mistake. Click here for full nominations list.
